Gottfried Bachler, a slow food advocate, embarked on his journey after studying at Vienna University of Economics before returning to his family's businesses in Sirnitz and Bad Kleinkirchheim, nestled in Austria's scenic alpine region renowned for its ski resorts. From 1979 to 1981, he served as a tenant at Kärntnerhof hotel in Hochrindl. In 1982, he took a significant step by purchasing and constructing Restaurant Bachler in Althofen, which he operated until its closure in 2023 upon his retirement.
