Peter Mall
It was love at first sight, that's how Peter Mall describes his first experiences in tourism. He was born on 16 March 1968 in one of the most famous and renowned winter destinations in the world - St. Anton am Arlberg/Tyrol/Austria.
In addition to his work as a ski instructor at the Arlberg Ski School, he was able to broaden his horizons in the field of destination management over several years in the Australian ski resort of Mt Buller.
At the age of 27, the Arlberg native took on the role of event manager, where he established numerous new events in St. Anton am Arlberg.
His life plans changed when the International Ski Federation FIS decided to organize the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in his hometown in 2001.
As event and sports coordinator for this largest alpine skiing event after the Olympic Games, new opportunities opened for him to play a key role in positioning St. Anton am Arlberg.
Today, as Managing Director of St. Antoner Fremdenverkehrs Förderungs Gmbh, Peter Mall is responsible for the event infrastructure, for the organization of major events and finally, for the application for the next FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in St. Anton am Arlberg.
In addition, through his activities as Chairman of the Arlberg Ski Club and as General Secretary of the Interski International Association, Mr. Mall is in constant contact with decision-makers in the global tourism industry.
